The Abyss was a wound in the earth,
festering beneath a sky that had long since
Gnarled trees twisted like contorted corpses, their roots groping through the blackened soil as if trying to claw their way free.

The air was thick with a rancid fog, choking out the stars,
swallowing all light. No creatures dared to stir here.
No wind dared to whisper.

The Abyss was a place untouched by time,
a prison of souls, guarded by knowledge.
The prison was ancient, its walls etched with fevered incantations,
pulsating with a power that should not exist.

The runes bled into
the wood like open wounds,
struggling to contain the thing within.
It was without form, a presence that slithered through the endless dark,
bound to the rotting husk of a structure at the heart of the Abyss.

Books lay scattered like bones,
their pages trembling, whispering to the air,
pleading to be heard.

They held the weight of a thousand forbidden truths,
yet even they could not comprehend
what Voyd had become.

It had once been knowledge.
Now, it was hunger.

And beyond the prison’s walls, the Abyss trembled,
waiting for the moment the bindings would fail.

Within the Abyss, in the villages,
the Life Trees stood. Towering and luminous,
their roots cradled the land, their
branches birthing small,
half-formed humans.

The villagers nurtured them, whispering prayers to
the trees, believing in their sacred gifts.
